DETROIT, MICH - A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to the person who fully wrapped up a puppy in plastic and left it on a sidewalk.
A passersby discovered the pup Friday morning in northwest Detroit. The person unwrapped the dog's head and called the Michigan Humane Society, spokeswoman Anna Chrisman said.
The male puppy, estimated to be a 3-month-old shepherd mix, is now under veterinary care at the humane society's Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit.
"He is now in the care of our medical team, and we're hoping he makes it through the night. Please keep him in your thoughts throughout the weekend," the humane society said in a Facebook post.
